Description

This query follows 5 steps:
1. Effective Efficiency for Non-CHP Plants
Calculates the effective efficiency of non-CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plants with and without Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies.
These calculations exclude the costs associated with CHP plants and are based on the CO2 emission factor.
2. Difference in Efficiency for Non-CHP Plants
Determines the difference in effective efficiency between non-CHP plants with CCS and without CCS.
3. Relative Input for CHP Plants
Calculates the typical input capacity for CHP plants equipped with CCS technology and those without, filtering by CO2 emission factor.
The efficiency can't be used since these are equal for chp plants with and without CCS.
4. Difference in Efficiency for CHP Plants
Computes the difference in performance for CHP plants by comparing the curves of input capacities for plants with and without CCS technologies.
5. Total Difference in Demand
Summarizes the total impact on demand due to differences in efficiency for both CHP and non-CHP plants when equipped with CCS technologies.
This query uses 'CURVE' functions however does not use actual CURVES. It uses arrays instead, since these arrays can be viewed as curves in GQL it still operates.
